WHY you should step outside of your comfort zone.

Hello Tribe!! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m working on my groove with this blog so please be patient with me. The frequency of posts and the days I post will eventually be set and not quite as sporadic! haha. I promise, it’ll get better and better. Just keep being patient with me please. 🙂

So here it is, everyone!!  I told you last time about what happens when you step outside of your comfort zone but here’s WHY you should do it. I promise once you take the leap, it’s 100% worth it!

It seriously won’t be as bad as you think.

It’s just not. I know how scary it seems. Trust me! It was REALLY hard and terrifying for me to leave my comfort zone but those benefits I was talking about last time are seriously worth it.  I noticed when people admit to being nervous about something they’re doing, it helps as well. For example, when someone goes on stage and admits to the crowd that they’re nervous about public speaking (me, me , me!!! lol). The audience will see your vulnerability and that you’re trying to overcome something that really scares you. You know what happens next? They’ll help you along. People naturally try to help and motivate others. Sure, some people are ugly but who needs them. 😛  Then, every time you do it,  you’re not so terrified anymore about speaking on stage. Cool how that works, huh? 😉

Who’s actually paying THAT MUCH attention to you?

When you’re nervous, self-conscious, scared, or embarrassed you feel like the entire world has their eyes on you. Trust me, they don’t. You’re fine!!

Other people are afraid too.

You’re not alone by any means, guys. We all have fears and things that make us absolutely terrified. Mine was public speaking and speaking to strangers but I’m happy to say I’ve overcome it. Now, do I still get nervous? Yes, a little. Do I panic and run away or give up? NO WAY! Let me know if you need a buddy to push you out of your comfort zone because I’m here to coach you!

People with the same amount of talent and the same level of fear as you are successfully doing the thing you are avoiding.

They can do it and so can you. Just go for it! Not a single person in this world is better than you and you aren’t better than them. Remember that. We’re all equal and can do anything we want to do in life. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to be great.

There’s just no better way to grow.

No matter how fast or slow you get out of that comfort zone you will definitely grow! It’s ok if it takes you 5 days or 5 years….just do it! Push yourself and I guarantee you’ll grow from it. Plus, it makes you feel like the champion you are!

You might discover something you’re truly passionate about.

Think of every single thing you’ve been too afraid to try. What if one of those things is just waiting for you to flourish? It could be your best talent! Do you really want fear to be the reason why you miss out on discovering it? Life is way too short for that.

You will get a boost to your self-confidence.

“Noble and great. Courageous and determined. Faithful and fearless. That is who you are and who you have always been. And understanding it can change your life, because this knowledge carries a confidence that cannot be duplicated any other way.”― Sheri L. Dew

You’ll be really proud of yourself for taking the leap of faith.

We all feel pride when we accomplish something that was really hard for us because dang it, you should!! Be proud of yourself for your hard work!

Each achievement makes it easier to tackle another.

Every milestone you achieve just sets you up for another. Remember that success breeds success!

You’ll realize that failure is truly rare because the most common outcomes are success, knowledge, and growth.

You will see that not every situation goes perfectly. That’s life! If you’re truly ready to do this you’ll focus on the growth and learning instead of a failure. There is ALWAYS some growth in any defeat.

You will become more resilient and ready for whatever you face in the future.

Let’s face it. Life is tough. Sometimes it’s even extra difficult. Things happen sometimes that get you out of your comfort zone faster than you can even think it through. The more open you are to it though, the better. You’ll have your confidence and skills to handle whatever life throws at you and be more prepared for a curve ball.  That practice from stepping out of your comfort zone will build up over time and you’ll be able to handle it with no sweat. 🙂

It could rewire your life by opening doors you never knew were there to begin with.

New experiences can change your whole world! It can be from what you believe, what you like to do, how you behave in situations, and how you live. The possibilities are truly endless. You could find yourself in a completely different place and state of mind. Hopefully a change for the much better so you can capture your dreams and hit any goal you’re wishing for!

You can for sure do this! Don’t forget, I’m always here for my Tribe if you need a little push. I’m available to coach you anytime! You’ve got this, loves. Now take a risk and get to work!

With love and magic,

-Megan
